Over the past 30 years, Phil Black has built a record of unique accomplishments including: Div I college athlete, Navy SEAL Officer, Goldman Sachs Investment Banker, bootstrap entrepreneur, 2X Shark Tank contestant, firefighter, husband, and father of four sons. He earned a Bachelor's Degree from Yale University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Phil began his career in college admissions counseling long before his sons entered high school. After years of helping other students and families on their college admissions journeys, he turned his attention to his own sons. With an in-house expert available 24/7, his sons found great success finding their way to their dream schools (Navy ROTC Yale, Navy ROTC Yale, USNA, TBD).
Just as important, however, was the ease and joy of the process itself. When you have a plan, there is less stress, doubt, and fear. ServeWell Academy aims to deliver a similar experience to every family that's willing to engage early in the process.

His portfolio of students (including his own sons) began to shift dramatically toward students interested in military service academies and ROTC scholarships.
